Frankie Muniz Announces He's Becoming a Full-Time Driver in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

Exclusive: Frankie Muniz is making a major career change and will become a full-time driver in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Muniz, best known for his roles in "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Agent Cody Banks," has been racing part-time in the ARCA Menards Series since 2021.

In an exclusive interview with The Sporting News, Muniz said he's "excited to take the next step" in his racing career. "I've always loved NASCAR, and I've always dreamed of driving in the Truck Series," he said. "This is a dream come true." Muniz will drive the No. 30 Chevrolet Silverado for Rette Jones Racing in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The team is owned by former NASCAR driver and current NASCAR analyst Kenny Wallace. Muniz said he's "grateful" for the opportunity to drive for Rette Jones Racing. "They're a great team, and I know they'll give me the support I need to be successful," he said. Muniz is scheduled to make his Truck Series debut at the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway on February 16, 2025.

Muniz is the latest in a growing number of celebrities to compete in NASCAR. Other celebrities who have raced in NASCAR include Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, and John Andretti. Muniz is confident that he can be successful in NASCAR. "I know it's going to be a challenge, but I'm ready for it," he said. "I'm going to work hard and I'm going to give it my all."
