Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing has emerged triumphant in the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix, securing his sixth victory of the season. The Dutch driver dominated the race from start to finish, leading every lap and crossing the line with a comfortable lead over his rivals.

A thrilling battle for the podium

Behind Verstappen, the battle for the remaining podium positions was intense. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. and Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing engaged in a thrilling duel for second place, with Sainz ultimately prevailing. Perez settled for third, while Mercedes' George Russell and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five.

The race was not without its drama. Several drivers, including Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel, retired from the race due to mechanical issues. The safety car was also deployed twice, once for a crash involving Nicholas Latifi and the other for a spin by Zhou Guanyu.
