Early Life and Career

Aleksander Aleksandrovich "Sasha" Barkov was born on September 2, 1995, in Tampere, Finland. He is the son of former professional hockey player Alexander Barkov Sr. Barkov began playing hockey at a young age and quickly showed promise. He played for Tappara in the Finnish Elite League before being drafted by the Florida Panthers with the second overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

NHL Career

Barkov made his NHL debut in the 2013-14 season and has quickly become one of the league's top young players.
