Tottenham 0-2 Manchester City: Haaland scores opener, penalty seals win
Manchester City moved back to the top of the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Erling Haaland scored the opener in the 20th minute, tapping home from close range after a cross from Kevin De Bruyne. Julian Alvarez sealed the win with a penalty in the 88th minute after De Bruyne was fouled by Richarlison.
The win moves City two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, while Tottenham remain fifth, five points behind the leaders.
It was a dominant performance from City, who controlled possession and created numerous chances throughout the match. Tottenham had few chances to get back into the game, and they were ultimately well beaten.
Haaland's goal was his 26th of the season in all competitions, and it continues his remarkable goalscoring form since joining City in the summer.
The Norwegian striker has now scored in each of his last four Premier League games, and he will be looking to continue his goalscoring streak when City face Wolves next weekend.
