Carlo Acutis was a devout Catholic teenager who is known for his love of God and his skill in using technology to spread the Gospel. He was born in London, England, on May 3, 1991. His family moved to Monza, Italy, when he was a young child. From a young age, Carlo was interested in technology. He taught himself to use computers and began creating websites and software programs. He also enjoyed playing video games and watching movies.

In addition to his interest in technology, Carlo was also a devout Catholic. He attended Mass every day and received Holy Communion regularly. He also volunteered for the poor and spent time in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. In 2006, Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia. He died from the disease on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15.

Carlo was beatified by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020. He is the patron saint of the digital age and is an example for young people to use technology to spread the Gospel.
