BAA Announces Official Charities for 2024 Boston Marathon

Over 160 Organizations to Receive Fundraising Support

Minimum Fundraising Requirement of $5,000

The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) has announced the selection of 160 organizations for its 2024 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program. Each athlete who participates in the Boston Marathon on behalf of one of these official charities is required to raise a minimum of $5,000.

The Official Charity Program provides a unique opportunity for runners to combine their passion for running with their commitment to giving back to their communities. Charities participating in the program cover a wide range of causes, including healthcare, education, environmental conservation, and social services.

"We are thrilled to welcome over 160 exceptional charities to our 2024 Official Charity Program," said BAARace Director David McGillivray. "Their unwavering dedication to making a difference in the world inspires our runners and unites our community."

Bank of America, the presenting partner of the Boston Marathon, is proud to support the Official Charity Program. "We are committed to empowering our customers and communities through initiatives like this," said Anne Finucane, Chairman of Bank of America. "We are honored to be a part of the incredible impact that the Boston Marathon runners and official charities have on our society."

Applications for the 2024 Official Charity Program opened on September 11, 2023. For more information, please visit the Boston Marathon website.
